Damascus, Feb. 2 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani met on Monday in Damascus with a delegation from the Kurdish National Council headed by Mohammad Ismail, with talks focusing on Syria’s unity and territorial integrity.
Al-Shaibani stressed during the meeting the rights of Kurdish citizens in Syria in a manner that reinforces equal citizenship while preserving their cultural and social particularities within a unified Syrian state.
For its part, the delegation welcomed Presidential Decree No. 13, describing it as an important step toward securing Kurdish citizens’ rights.
