Damascus, Jan. 16 (SANA) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani affirmed on Friday that the Syrian identity has always united all its sons, with Kurdish brothers being an essential pillar of this edifice. They are part of us, and we are part of them; our future is one and indivisible.
Minister al-Shaibani stated, in a post on X, that Syria’s strength lies in the cohesion of its people, and through unity we confront challenges to build a free homeland that accommodates all our dreams and aspirations.
President Ahmad al-Sharaa had issued Decree No. 13 of 2026, affirming that Syrian Kurdish citizens are an essential and integral part of the Syrian people, and that their cultural and linguistic identity is an inseparable component of Syria’s unified and pluralistic national identity.
