Damascus, Feb. 01 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a telephone conversation with Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party , during which they discussed the latest developments in Syria.
During the call on Saturday, President al-Sharaa affirmed the Syrian state’s commitment to the national, political, and civil rights of the Kurds, affirming that all Syrians are equal before the law and enjoy equal rights.
For his part, Barzani expressed his congratulations on the comprehensive agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), stressing the necessity of its implementation in a way that guarantees the unity and stability of Syria.
Both sides stressed the importance of cooperation and joint coordination to contribute to the implementation of the agreement and the achievement of stability in Syria and the region.
