Aleppo Governorate announced Saturday on its Telegram channel that the deployment is part of measures aimed at strengthening stability, maintaining security, and safeguarding the residents and their property.

On January 18, Aleppo Governor Azzam al-Gharib addressed the people of Ayn al-Arab through the governorate’s Telegram channel, saying: “I appeal to our honorable people in Ayn al-Arab (Kobani), the pride of Aleppo—Kurds and Arabs, Muslims and Christians—not to listen to voices of sedition that call for arming against their fellow Syrians. I remind them that the State, amid the major events we are witnessing, has exerted continuous efforts to unite Syrians under the umbrella of one homeland, away from cross-border projects that have harmed the country and its people.”
