London, Jan. 23 (SANA) The UK’s Special Envoy to Syria, Ann Snow, affirmed that the latest OPCW report on chemical attacks in Syria established the deposed Assad regime’s responsibility for the chlorine gas attack on Kafr Zita in Hama countryside in 2016.
“This report stresses the Assad regime’s responsibility for the chlorine gas attack on Kafr Zita. Ousted Assad’s chemical weapons attacks are heinous, and there must be no impunity or immunity for those who commit such crimes,” Snow stated in a post on platform X.
Snow added: “The United Kingdom supports Syria and the OPCW in ensuring that these weapons are never used again in Syria.”
Snow also shared on her page a copy of the OPCW’s fifth report on chemical attacks in Syria, released Thursday, which confirmed that the defunct regime carried out a chlorine gas attack on Kafr Zita in 2016, injuring at least 35 people directly and causing harm to others.
