Damascus, Dec. 17 (SANA) The National Conference on Disability – Empowerment, Inclusion, and Integration opened in Damascus on Wednesday, aiming to enhance institutional programs that provide the best services for people with disabilities.
Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the event is being held under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Presidency at the Visual Arts Center in Damascus.
Over the course of two days, the conference will address several key topics, including governance and capacity building in the disability sector, mental health and social support, developmental disorders, and rehabilitation programs across the lifespan. It will also cover recent advancements in the rehabilitation of individuals with physical disabilities, as well as early detection of disabilities.
