Deir Ezzor, June.2 (SANA) The Ministry of Energy announced the reactivation of full operations at nine drinking water stations in Deir Ezzor Governorate following the decline in the Euphrates River’s water level and the availability of suitable technical conditions for completing installation and maintenance works.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry stated that maintenance teams continue to work at an accelerated pace to restore the remaining out-of-service stations across the governorate, helping to mitigate the impact caused by the recent rise in the Euphrates River’s water level.
Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir announced on Monday the full restoration of operations at the giant Euphrates Water Station in Deir Ezzor, a move expected to improve water supply stability for approximately 400,000 residents.
