Interior and Energy ministers discuss safeguarding vital facilities

Interior Minister Anas Khattab held Saturday an official meeting with Energy Minister Mohammed al-Bashir in Damascus, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two ministries to ensure the protection of vital installations.

According to a statement published by the Interior Ministry on its Telegram channel, the meeting addressed mechanisms for securing oil and gas pipelines, as well as electricity networks and stations, with a focus on measures to strengthen security and protection systems.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two ministers affirmed the continuation of security and technical coordination between the relevant agencies and institutions, to ensure a stable and secure environment that supports the work of government institutions and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
