Kuwait City, March 4 (SANA) The U.S. Department of Defense said Tuesday that four U.S. service members, including a reserve captain, were killed in a drone attack targeting Kuwait’s Shuaiba port on Sunday.
The department said in a statement that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the attack and those responsible.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the death toll among U.S. forces in operations linked to escalating tensions with Iran has risen to six.
Iran has continued launching missile and drone attacks on targets in several Arab countries, causing casualties and damage. Tehran says the attacks are in retaliation for U.S. and Israeli strikes that began last Saturday and caused casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
