An explosive device (IED) was detonated near the police station in the city of Baniyas, Tartous, Monday, causing no injuries.
A security source in Tartous Governorate stated to SANA that the explosion was caused by an explosive device attached to a police car parked next to the police station, resulting in material damage.
The source affirmed that investigations are underway and evidence is being collected to identify and pursue the perpetrators.
