Tehran, March 5 (SANA) A series of explosions shook Iran’s capital, Tehran, and nearby areas on Thursday, the sixth day of the war between Iran and the United States and Israel, as Iran launched a new wave of missiles toward Israel.

Iranian media reported that several districts of Tehran were hit by explosions, with at least 30 people injured in strikes targeting the Shahin area in the northwest of the capital. An additional explosion was reported in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran.

The blasts came as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the launch of the 19th wave of missile and drone attacks, targeting sites inside Israel and U.S. bases in the region.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it carried out a strike on a ballistic missile launch platform in the Qom region, saying the site had been prepared to launch missiles toward Israel.

The Israeli army also said it destroyed an air defense system in Isfahan that had been targeting Israeli aircraft.

In a separate development, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces had sunk more than 20 vessels belonging to Iran’s navy since the conflict began.

The United States and Israel launched their military campaign against Iran last Saturday, triggering a sharp escalation across the region. The fighting has resulted in hundreds of casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure, according to reports.

Iran has responded by firing missiles and drones toward Israel, with Israeli authorities reporting 13 deaths and more than 1,700 injuries since the start of the attacks. Tehran has also launched attacks on Arab states in the Gulf, causing injuries and damage.
