Syria and Sweden discuss cooperation in the administrative development field

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Administrative Development Mohammad Hassan Al-Skkaf held a working session on Friday with Swedish Ambassador to Syria Jessica Svärdström, devoted to discussing prospects for cooperation between the two parties in the areas of developing government work and strengthening administrative capabilities.

Syria and Sweden discuss cooperation in the administrative development field

The meeting addressed the national plans for comprehensive institutional transformation led by the Ministry of Administrative Development, capacity-building and human resource development programs, and ways to leverage modern administrative experiences and exchange expertise between the two countries.

Al-Skaf assured the importance of international partnerships in supporting the institutional reform processes and modernization of institutional structures, noting that the Ministry is open to all forms of cooperation that contribute to achieving efficient government performance and promoting a culture of quality.

Ambassador Svärdström expressed Sweden’s interest in supporting institutional reform efforts in Syria, affirming her country’s readiness to cooperate in the areas of training, capacity building, and the exchange of successful experiences in public administration.
