Muscat, SANA-The Sultanate of Oman strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Syria, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility to ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from the occupied Syrian territories.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Thursday, reported by the Omani News Agency: “The Sultanate of Oman expresses its strong condemnation of the Israeli attacks on the Syrian Arab Republic and its national sovereignty, and its blatant violation of international law.
It renews its strong appeal to the international community, particularly the Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, to ensure Israel’s complete withdrawal from the occupied Syrian territories, and to cease all hostile acts that affect the lives of civilians.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the Sultanate of Oman’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its solidarity with the Syrian people, calling for strengthening international efforts to protect civilians and alleviate their suffering by providing the necessary humanitarian aid.
