Qatar condemns the attempted targeting of Turkey with a ballistic missile and an airport in Azerbaijan with Iranian drones

Doha, March 5 (SANA) Qatar strongly condemned the attempted targeting of Turkey with a ballistic missile and an airport in Azerbaijan with Iranian drones, describing the incidents as a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of state sovereignty.

In a statement released Thursday, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said the attacks were part of a series of reckless Iranian actions that pose a direct threat to regional security and stability.

The ministry warned that Iran’s continued opening of new fronts and expanding escalation with neighboring countries is extremely dangerous. It called on Tehran to immediately halt such policies, which undermine regional security, and urged respect for the principles of good neighborliness and international law.

Qatar also expressed full solidarity with Turkey and Azerbaijan and said it supports any measures they take to preserve their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
