Hama, SANA – The Arab Writers Union staged on Thursday, a protest in Hama condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression on Syrian territory, and denouncing the targeting of the capital, Damascus, and other areas, including attacks on civilians and members of the army and security.
The sit-in was widely attended by writers and intellectuals, who held up banners expressing their rejection of the aggression, affirming their full solidarity with the Syrian state, and their adherence to the sovereignty and unity of the homeland.
Speeches were also delivered during the event, emphasizing that honest words constitute a weapon of resistance against killing and destruction, and calling for confronting repeated Israeli violations through cultural and national stances.
