Homs, Feb. 27 (SANA) Syrian security forces have arrested members of a gang involved in stealing cars and selling dismantled parts in local markets in Homs province, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
The arrests followed intelligence gathering and surveillance operations, according to a statement on the Ministry’s official Telegram channel. Security forces carried out a raid that led to the detention of all members of the group.
The statement added that four stolen vehicles were recovered before they could be dismantled. The vehicles were handed over to the Traffic Investigations Branch in Homs. The individuals have been referred to judicial authorities.

Earlier this month, local authorities announced they had foiled an attempted robbery at a commercial store in Homs and arrested those involved.
