Qatar to the UN: Israeli military escalation threatens regional security

New York, SANA- Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Alia Ahmed bin Saif, emphasized that the continued Israeli military escalation in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and other areas has led to increased tensions and threatens the stability of the entire region.

This position was expressed by the diplomat in her reading of Qatar’s statement before the Security Council’s high-level open debate on strengthening international peace and security through multilateralism.

The ambassador affirmed that Doha has spared no effort in collaborating with regional and international partners to prevent the conflict from escalating and spreading to the regional level.

The Qatari ambassador reiterated her country’s call to prioritize diplomatic solutions, adhere to the principles of good neighborliness, and exercise restraint in the face of escalation.
