Ankara, SANA-Syria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Qatar confirmed that the project of supplying Azerbaijani natural gas to Syria via Turkey, funded by the State of Qatar, is a symbol of regional solidarity among these countries.
The four countries said in a joint statement posted by Turkish Ministry of Energy on X platform Saturday night quoted by Turkish Anadolu Agency: “The project has strong humanitarian meanings and contributes to the recovery of Syrian economy, improving the living conditions of citizens, and ameliorating electricity”.
The statement noted that accomplishing the project in record time support Syria’s reconstruction process, following the historic developments that took place after the fall of the former regime.
The statement also indicated that Qatar renews its commitment to supporting the recovery and stability process in Syria, through contributing to electricity production.
