Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Defense has warned remnants of armed groups from the former regime against any attempt to destabilize security and stability on the Syrian coast.
The Ministry’s Media and Communications Department stated that a military vehicle was yesterday under attack by the remnants in the countryside of Latakia and Tartous. No casualties were reported.
According to the statement, the past three days have seen an escalation in attacks by these groups targeting army forces in the region. The Ministry affirmed its commitment to protecting all components of the Syrian people and preserving civil peace, stressing it will not tolerate any targeting of army personnel or civilians.
