Syrian weightlifter Qaswara Jghaili to compete in World Weightlifting Championship

Syrian weightlifter Qaswara Jghaili to compete in World Weightlifting Championship

Damascus, SANA- Syrian national weightlifter Qaswara Jghaili will compete in the Youth World Weightlifting Championship (Under-17), set to begin Monday in Peru and run until the 6th of next month. The event will feature 600 weightlifters representing 85 countries.

Jghaili will participate in the open weight category and will be accompanied by Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Secretary-General of the Federation and an international referee, who will also serve as a judge in the championship.

Jghaili has previously won a bronze medal at the Asian Youth Championship in Uzbekistan, three gold medals at the Arab Championship in Damascus, and another three gold medals at the Arab Championship in Cairo. His preparation and training are overseen by international champion and coach Ahid Jghaili, along with national coach Mohammad Rasha.
