Jeddah, Sept. 27 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates booked their place in the Gulf Cup 27 semi-finals with a 3-0 victory over Bahrain on Sunday at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, in the second round of Group B.
Othman Camara put the UAE ahead in the 30th minute before Guilherme Bala doubled the lead in the 66th. Ali Saleh completed the scoring in the 88th minute to seal the victory.
The result lifted the UAE to six points from two matches after they opened their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Yemen. They lead Group B on goal difference ahead of Qatar, who have the same number of points.
Both teams have secured their places in the semi-finals ahead of their meeting in the third and final round of the group stage, which will determine their final positions in Group B.
Bahrain and Yemen have been eliminated from semi-final contention after the second round of matches.
The Gulf Cup 27 is being hosted by Saudi Arabia, with the final scheduled for Oct. 6 in Jeddah.
