Cairo, May 21 (SANA) Zamalek SC won the Egyptian Premier League title for the 15th time after a 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra FC on the final day of the season.

Palestinian striker Oday Dabbagh scored the winning goal in the eighth minute.

Zamalek finished on 56 points, two ahead of Pyramids FC, while Al Ahly SC ended third with 53 points.

The title came despite financial difficulties, registration bans and delayed salaries during the season.

Pyramids secured a CAF Champions League place after beating Smouha SC 2-1, while Al Ahly defeated Al Masry SC 2-0 through a brace from Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.
