Damascus, Sept. 15 (SANA) Syria will be represented by 15 athletes across nine sports at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, scheduled to take place from Sept. 19 to Oct. 4.
The Syrian delegation includes 10 male and five female athletes competing in wrestling, judo, kurash, karate, rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis, shooting, athletics and esports, according to the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
The team will be led by a delegation comprising administrative and medical staff, with athletes set to compete across individual and team events in the continental tournament.
The 20th edition of the Asian Games is expected to bring together more than 11,000 athletes from 45 countries competing in a wide range of sports.
