Aleppo, April 28 (SANA) Ahli Aleppo secured an 85–74 win over Nawair on Monday in the Syrian Men’s Basketball League, improving their position in the standings.
The game, held at Al-Shahbaa Hall in Aleppo, began with both teams relying on perimeter shooting. Nawair held a slight edge early, closing the first quarter ahead 22–19.
Momentum shifted in the second quarter as Nawair struggled with missed opportunities, allowing Ahli Aleppo to take a 36–31 lead at halftime.
Nawair responded in the third quarter, led by Trey Maddox, who helped his team regain the lead at 57–53.
Ahli Aleppo regained control in the fourth quarter, with Trevor Moore and Isaac Obeid scoring key points to secure the victory.
In other league action, al-Shabiba defeated al-Karamah 77–75, while al-Hurriya beat Al-Jaish 96–93.
