Maryland, March. 30 (SANA) France defeated Colombia 3–1 in an international football friendly played in Maryland, eastern United States, on Monday, as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.
The match, a senior men’s international friendly (non-competitive exhibition) hosted in the United States, saw France take control through Désiré Doué, who scored twice in the 29th and 56th minutes. Marcus Thuram added a third goal in the 41st minute to extend France’s lead before halftime.
Colombia reduced the deficit in the second half, with Jhonatan Campaz scoring in the 77th minute. The result follows France’s earlier 2–1 victory over Brazil in another friendly, as the team continues its preparations after finishing runners-up at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
