Sunderland beat Tottenham as Manchester City cruise past Chelsea

London, April 13 (SANA) Sunderland boosted their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday, piling further pressure on the struggling London side in the 32nd round.

Nordi Mukiele scored the decisive goal in the 61st minute, leaving Tottenham in 18th place on 30 points and firmly in the relegation zone. Sunderland moved up to 10th with 46 points.

Manchester City, meanwhile, maintained their pursuit of leaders Arsenal with a dominant 3-0 victory away to Chelsea.

Nico O’Reilly opened the scoring in the 51st minute, before defender Marc Guehi doubled the lead six minutes later. Jeremy Doku sealed the win with a third goal in the 68th minute.

City now sit on 64 points, six behind Arsenal, while Chelsea remains sixth on 48 points, slipping further from the Champions League qualification spots.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa drew 1-1 away at Nottingham Forest, while Crystal Palace secured a 2-1 home win over Newcastle United.
