Abu Dhabi, Jan. 26 (SANA) Al-Karamah edged Zamboanga of the Philippines 92–90 in overtime on Sunday at the 35th Dubai International Basketball Tournament.
The game was tied 82–82 at the end of regulation, forcing extra time. In the final seconds, al-Karamah’s Gomez scored the decisive basket to secure the team’s first win in the tournament.
In the second match, Homs al-Fidaa defeated Damascus-based al-Wahda 77–65. al-Wahda had beaten UAE’s Al-Nasr 87–75 in their opening game, while Homs al-Fidaa lost 97–70 to the UAE national team.
