Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Kuwait City, Aug. 3 (SANA)    Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held a phone call on Monday with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss regional stability and efforts to ensure freedom of navigation, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said.

The talks covered the latest regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and securing safe and free maritime navigation in the region, according to a ministry statement on X.

Earlier, Kuwait’s foreign minister held a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan to discuss regional developments and ways to enhance regional security and stability. The calls come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to contain tensions following President Trump’s decision to suspend a planned military strike on Iran.

Gulf states have been actively coordinating their positions on regional security, particularly regarding freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global energy supplies.
