Abu Dhabi, May 16 (SANA) The United Arab Emirates reaffirmed on Saturday its commitment to regional security and stability in coordination with international partners.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what it described as Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other regional states, saying nearly 3,000 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones were launched toward the country, causing civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.
The ministry said all measures taken by the UAE were defensive and aimed at protecting civilians, sovereignty and vital infrastructure.
It added that the UAE reserves its legal, diplomatic and military right to respond to any threats.
The statement followed a report by The Wall Street Journal alleging that the UAE launched military operations against Iran in early April.
