Damascus,Jan.31 (SANA)– German Chargé d’Affaires in Damascus, Clemens Hach, affirmed Saturday that his country welcomes the comprehensive agreement reached between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), describing it as an important step towards building a unified and inclusive Syria and a foundation for achieving sustainable stability there.

“Germany welcomes the agreement reached between the Syrian government and the SDF on unifying military and civilian institutions,” Hach said in a post on the “x” platform.

Hach asserted that this peaceful integration constitutes an important step towards building a unified and inclusive Syria, and a foundation for achieving sustainable stability and paving the way for economic recovery, reiterating Germany’s determination to continue supporting this process in cooperation with international partners.

The agreement announced by the Syrian government with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Friday, which included a ceasefire as part of a comprehensive agreement and an understanding on a phased integration of military and administrative forces between the two sides, was widely welcomed by Arab and international parties, with emphasis placed on the importance of preserving Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and stability.
