Tunis, May 5 (SANA) The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates, targeting civilian and economic sites with missiles and drones.

In a statement on its website Tuesday, the Secretariat said the attacks struck an oil facility in Fujairah and an oil tanker belonging to an Emirati company, describing them as a blatant violation of international law, conventions and principles of good neighborliness.

The statement added that the escalation poses serious risks to regional and global economic interests and threatens international peace and security.

The Secretariat reaffirmed its solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Separate reports said the attacks injured three people in Fujairah, while an ADNOC-affiliated tanker was hit by projectiles north of the city. Several countries have also condemned the attacks, calling for a complete halt to military escalation in the Middle East.
