Amman, April.5 (SANA) Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi voiced Jordan’s appreciation in the long-standing fraternal relations with Syria and the continued development they are witnessing across various fields.

In a post on X on Sunday, Safadi stated: “We are working together to consolidate comprehensive cooperation that serves the interests of our two brotherly countries. We stand together in confronting challenges. Syria is moving forward confidently toward reconstruction, and Jordan stands with it, backing every step along this path.”

Safadi’s remarks came in response to statements by Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, who affirmed via X that Syrian-Jordanian relations are on a unique upward trajectory across all sectors, and that Syria will not tolerate any attempts to negatively undermine these ties.

Al-Shaibani and al-Safadi discussed in Amman on Saturday preparations for convening the second session of the Higher Coordination Council, emphasizing its role in enhancing ministerial coordination and expanding bilateral cooperation.
