Munich, Feb. 14 (SANA)-Syria’s Foreign Minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani, held talks on Saturday with a number of U.S.Congressmen, headed by Senator Jeanne Shaheen, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in Syria and the region, with both sides stress the importance of preserving Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to supporting the political process in a way that achieves security and stability.
Later, al-Shaibani met with U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin to discuss latest political developments at both the regional and international levels.
The two sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and constructive engagement within the framework of global efforts aimed at promoting stability and security.
Minister al-Shaibani arrived on Friday at the venue of the 62nd Munich Security Conference to take part in its sessions.
