Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated his country’s firm support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing Ankara’s firm opposition to the presence of terrorist organizations within Syrian borders.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the legislative year of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in Ankara, Erdogan expressed optimism about Syria’s future, noting that “after 14 years of oppression and injustice under the deposed regime, the Syrian people are beginning to glimpse hope.”
He emphasized Turkey’s enduring role in countering any attempts to destabilize Syria or fragment its social fabric.
