Erdogan affirms support for Syria’s unity, calls for comprehensive dialogue

Erdogan affirms support for Syria's unity, calls for comprehensive dialogue

Beijing, SANA-Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that preserving Syria’s unity and stability is in the interest of the entire region, stressing his country’s rejection of any attempts that pose threat to the security and territorial integrity of Syria.

“Turkey will continue to stand against any attempt to threaten Syria’s security and integrity.” Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan as saying during his participation in an expanded session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China.   

He noted that his country’s vision is based on resolving crises through dialogue and diplomacy, and respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
