Damascus, April 18 (SANA) Al-Jaish and Tishreen settled for a 1-1 draw on Saturday at al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus in the closing match of Round 16 of the Syrian Premier League.
Tishreen took the lead through professional player Arona Fall before Jumaa al-Ashqar equalized for Al-Jaish.
Other matches in the round, which began on Friday, saw Al-Karama defeat Al-Wahda 3-1, while Khan Sheikhoun held leaders Ahli Aleppo to a 1-1 draw. Homs al-Fidaa secured a 4-0 victory over Damascus al-Ahli.
Matches between Omayya and Al-Hurriya ended 1-1, while Hutteen defeated al-Shorta 1-0, and al-Taliyabeat al-Fotuwa by 1-0 as well. Jableh also won 2-1 against al-Shouleh.
Ahli Aleppo remained at the top of the standings with 38 points, followed by Homs al-Fidaa in second place with 34 points. al-Wahda held third place with 33 points, while al-Karama moved to fourth with 31 points.
