Israeli forces arrest 19 Palestinians in the West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem, Feb. 16 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces on Monday arrested 19 Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank, Palestinian media reported.

According to the WAFA news agency, troops carried out raids in Qalqilya, the suburb of Shuweika and the town of Deir al-Ghusun in Tulkarm, the village of Salem in Nablus, Kufr Aqab in Jerusalem, as well as the towns of Sa’ir and Halhul in Hebron. Nineteen people were arrested after their homes were searched and property was ransacked.

Forces also raided several homes in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, set up military checkpoints at entrances to the city and surrounding towns and camps, and closed a number of major and secondary roads.

In a related development, Israeli soldiers demolished an agricultural structure in the town of Shuqba, west of Ramallah, and issued stop-construction notices to 15 homes in the town of Tuqu’ in Bethlehem.
