Occupied Jerusalem, Oct. 2 (SANA) A Palestinian youth was shot dead Friday by Israeli occupation settlers in the town of Kobar, north of Ramallah, while Israeli forces withheld his body, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed in a statement cited by WAFA that a young man from Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, succumbed to critical injuries sustained after Israeli settlers opened fire on him in Kobar.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that armed settlers fired live ammunition at a group of Palestinians, injuring one youth. Israeli occupation forces subsequently blocked Palestinian ambulance crews from reaching the victim to administer emergency first aid.
Local sources added that Israeli military units stormed Kobar during the incident, firing tear gas canisters at residents and injuring one person in the head.
The fatality follows a similar incident last Thursday, when one Palestinian was killed and two others were wounded by Israeli occupation military fire in Salfit, amid escalating settler attacks and military incursions across the West Bank.
