Occupied Jerusalem, Sept. 8 (SANA) Six Palestinians were injured in attacks by Israeli occupation forces across the occupied West Bank, while a former prisoner was detained in Tulkarm, Palestinian media and medical sources said.
The Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) reported that a 14-year-old boy was wounded in the foot after Israeli forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets during a raid on the Sheikh neighborhood in central Hebron. Palestine Red Crescent Society crews transferred him to Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment.
Israeli forces also set up a military checkpoint in Hebron’s Bir al-Hummus neighborhood, where they stopped and searched Palestinian vehicles and checked residents’ identity cards.
In the Nablus area, two Palestinians were injured during an Israeli raid on the village of Burqa, northwest of the city, amid live gunfire and the firing of stun grenades and toxic gas.
Three former Palestinian prisoners were also injured after being beaten by Israeli forces at the Awarta military checkpoint south of Nablus. Palestine Red Crescent crews provided first aid before transferring them to hospital.
In Tulkarm, Israeli forces detained former prisoner Mohammad Abdul Latif Nafea Hamdan after raiding his home in the al-Sawwana neighborhood south of the city, according to local sources.
Earlier, a Palestinian was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Qabalan, south of Nablus, while Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian land in Ramallah and Bethlehem.
The attacks come amid the continuing Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, where the number of Palestinians killed and injured has risen to 248,280.
