Quneitra, Sept. 3 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces fired artillery shells toward the vicinity of eastern Tal al-Ahmar in the southern Quneitra countryside on Thursday.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said that the occupation forces fired two artillery shells toward the area, with no injuries reported.

The attack comes two days after Israeli occupation forces detained a Syrian citizen while he was tending sheep west of al-Rafid in the southern Quneitra countryside. He was taken into the occupied Syrian Golan before being released several hours later.

The Israeli occupation continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, arrests, land bulldozing and other attacks.

Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
