Quneitra, Aug. 19 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained two young men during an early-morning raid on Jabata al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside on Wednesday, SANA’s correspondent reported.
A force of more than 100 Israeli occupation personnel and about 15 military vehicles entered the town, raided several homes and detained the two men, according to the correspondent.
The detainees were taken to an Israeli occupation position in the Jabata al-Khashab nature reserve before the forces withdrew from the area.
The raid came a day after Israeli occupation forces fired an artillery shell at the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, detentions, land bulldozing and shelling.
Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, saying measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. It has also called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria.
