Ankara, Sep.10 (SANA) Türkiye on Thursday welcomed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors’ unanimous decision to end consideration of the item on the implementation of the safeguards agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic.
“We welcome the decision unanimously adopted at the IAEA Board of Governors’ session on Wednesday to close the Syrian nuclear file that had been on the agency’s agenda,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

Türkiye will continue to support Syria through all relevant platforms, the statement affirmed.
Earlier on Wednesday, the IAEA’s Board of Governors removed Syria’s non-compliance item from its agenda after the completion of the relevant technical and legal requirements, marking a significant development in the country’s peaceful nuclear.
