Quneitra, April 4 (SANA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a new incursion on Saturday, advancing onto the key road that links the village of Taranja to the town of Jabata al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside.
A contingent of seven Israeli military vehicles entered the area, establishing a temporary checkpoint where they searched passersby. No arrests were reported, according to SANA’s reporter.
This incident follows an earlier attack on Friday, when an Israeli tank targeted a civilian vehicle west of the al-Za’rura farm, located within the al-Rafid municipality in the southern Quneitra countryside. The attack resulted in the death of a young Syrian man who was inside the vehicle.
Israel’s actions are viewed as ongoing aggression and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, as the military continues to advance in southern Syria, perpetrate attacks on civilians, and carry out land bulldozing operations.
Syria maintains its call for the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, arguing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are illegitimate. The Syrian government urges the international community to take responsibility, condemn these actions, and compel Israel to withdraw completely from the region.
