Ankara, Aug. 3 (SANA) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone call on Monday with his British counterpart Ed Miliband to discuss regional developments and efforts to end escalation in the region, according to Anadolu Agency.
The two officials reviewed the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza, as well as developments in the Russia-Ukraine war and efforts to end ongoing conflicts in the region, sources at the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Anadolu Agency.
On Saturday, Fidan said Türkiye will continue its efforts to end conflicts and establish lasting peace in the region as part of its diplomatic push to contain regional tensions. The call comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions following US President Trump’s decision to suspend a planned military strike on Iran.
