Damascus, SANA- In a joint operation with Turkish intelligence, Syria’s Anti-Narcotics Department seized 500 kilograms of drug-making precursors along with large quantities of Captagon pills in the Yafour area of Rural Damascus.
The Interior Ministry said on its Telegram channel that the substances were hidden inside preserved food containers and large vessels buried underground. The entire cache was confiscated, and all those involved were arrested and referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
The ministry reaffirmed that the Anti-Narcotics Department will continue efforts to dismantle smuggling and trafficking networks and combat the spread of drugs.
