Turkish-Syrian Business Forum concludes in Istanbul with strong participation

Istanbul, Dec. 02 (SANA)The Turkish-Syrian Business Forum wrapped up Monday at Helal Expo 2025 in Istanbul, with representatives from Turkey’s Ministry of Trade, the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), and a wide range of business leaders from both countries.

The forum marked the launch of the Syrian-Turkish Joint Business Council (STİK), aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties and supporting the private sector in line with Syria’s new economic phase. Since its launch, the council has received over 730 membership applications from companies and businesspeople across various sectors, reflecting strong interest in the initiative.

STİK was established by a decision of Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Nidal al-Shaar, as a strategic step to rebuild economic bridges and organize commercial and investment cooperation between Syria and Turkey.

This year’s forum coincided with the first anniversary of Syria’s “Aggression Deterrence” operation, highlighting the country’s transition from conflict toward structured economic reconstruction and organized development.
