Israeli-Iranian military escalation enters its 2nd week

Damascus, SANA – The military escalation between Iran and Israel has entered its second week, with the two sides continuing to exchange intense air and missile strikes.

Israeli media reported that the Israeli military carried out strikes on dozens of military targets in Iran overnight, including an attack on the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research. More than 60 warplanes participated in the raids, using 120 different munitions.

In this context, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced in a post on its X platform that it had information indicating that major buildings at the Khandab heavy water research site in Iran’s Markazi province had been damaged by Israeli attacks, including the distillation unit. It also warned that major buildings at the Arak heavy water nuclear complex had also been damaged as a result of Israeli bombing.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported on Friday that several fires broke out this morning on a street in the city of Beersheba in the occupied territories, near a technology park that houses Microsoft’s headquarters.

Regarding this, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps indicated that it attacked the “Cyberspace Park” with missiles, specifically the “Gav-Yam 4” company in the Beersheba area, which works in the cyberspace field and actively cooperates with the Israeli military, inflicting significant damage.

In Zanjan Province, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Friday the deaths of two of its members in the city of Abhar, western Iran, following an Israeli attack last night. Meanwhile, Iran’s Emergency Management Authority reported damage to five hospitals due to Israeli strikes last week.
