Rome, SANA – The Italian Foreign Ministry expressed on Monday its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted the St Elias Church.
In a post on the X platform, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani described the attack as ‘a heinous crime that violates the sanctity of places of worship and undermines the principles of peaceful coexistence,’ stressing his country’s rejection of all forms of violence and intolerance.
Tajani added: “Italy reiterates its commitment to defending religious freedoms and human dignity”, stressing its “full solidarity with the Syrian people and its continuous endeavour to promote peace and stability in Syria”.
