Washington, June 27 (SANA) U.S. Army launched military strikes against Iran, targeting warehouses for missiles, drones, and radar systems, in response to the targeting of a commercial cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command (Centcom) said in a statement that those strikes came after the Singapore-flagged cargo ship “M/V Ever Lovely” was targeted by a drone on the twenty-fifth of this month, while crossing the Strait of Hormuz off the Omani coast.
The unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire,” CENTCOM said.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced on Thursday that a cargo ship was damaged in a projectile of unknown source off the coast of Oman in the Strait of Hormuz, without reporting any casualties.
