Beirut, June 21 (SANA) Five people, including a child, were killed and another wounded in a series of Israeli airstrikes across southern and western Lebanon late Saturday and early Sunday, according to Lebanese media and health authorities.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that an Israeli strike hit the town of Sohmor in western Bekaa, killing three people, including a child and a woman, and injuring one person.

In a separate incident, an Israeli strike on the town of Rashidieh in the Tyre district in southern Lebanon killed two Palestinian nationals, the agency said.

Two further fatalities were reported on Saturday evening following Israeli strikes on the Nabatieh district in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said that 83 people had been killed and 141 injured in Israeli strikes over the past 24 hours, as raids continued across the south of the country.
The latest strikes came as Lebanon reaffirmed its commitment to a ceasefire agreement linked to the U.S.-Iran deal signed on Thursday, provided that Israel fully complies with its terms.

On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States was seeking a full and comprehensive ceasefire across all fronts in the Middle East, including Lebanon.
